What’s the point of this website?
50-50 Malaysia is a volunteer-driven initiative to spotlight women experts in various industries and tackle under-representation head-on. By presenting contact details in an easy-to-access format, it is hoped that journalists and policymakers can reach out to women experts more efficiently.
Can you vouch for every expert listed on this website? How do I know they are any good?
Usual disclaimers apply here – although we have utilised a stringent vetting process and done our due diligence, we unfortunately cannot and do not know everything about everyone. We also stress that the opinions and views of the experts platformed here do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 50-50 Malaysia. We will not be liable for the accuracy of information spread by these experts and any subsequent losses or damages in connection with the use of our website.
You have platformed someone who has acted abusively towards me or someone else. How do I put in a complaint?
We at 50-50 Malaysia take complaints about issues like sexual harassment, cyber-bullying and abusive behaviour very seriously. Please write in to [email protected] so we can investigate the matter. Rest assured that all complaints will remain confidential unless the complainant expressly states otherwise.

I am being cyber-bullied because of details published on this website. What do I do?
Women are often the targets of online violence, and this is unacceptable. Send us an email and we’ll support you throughout an individualised remedy process – whether it’s getting you in touch with the relevant authorities, helping you write official complaint letters, or connecting you with support groups. We are also happy to remove you from the database if that is your preferred solution.
I really like this initiative. How can I support you guys?
Aww, thanks! We like you too. Right now this is still a not-for-profit volunteer project so we are not seeking financial assistance. You can show your support in other ways: sharing the website with your mates, praising us on social media or maybe just taking us out for a drink.
I have a super specific question that isn’t listed in this FAQ. How do I get in touch?
Send us a letter via pigeon.
Just kidding. Email us at [email protected].
